We would like to invite you to the third edition of the Wandering Festival „Romani Kultura”, which will take place on the 18th of June 2023 in Wrocław.
The Wandering Festival „Romani Kultura” wanders around Poland and is a platform for presenting the most interesting artistic and cultural achievements of Roma communities from different regions of the country. This year it has made its way to Wrocław. Creative workshops will be held by artists and cultural animators from Wrocław and Legnica. The programme includes, among other things, painting workshops, art workshops for children, a jazz concert and jam session, a panel discussion on Roma culture in Lower Silesia and a presentation of selected collections from the Museum of Roma Culture in Warsaw.
Programme
11.00 – 15.00 inclusive painting workshops led by artists Krzysztof Gil and Noemi Łakatosz
15.00 – 17.00 art workshops for children, run parallel to other events by kindergarten teacher and art education teacher Jadwiga Tomczuk
15.00 – 16.00 lecture and multimedia presentation by Andrzej Grzymała-Kazłowski on Roma culture in the Lower Silesian Voivodship over the centuries – based on his collection from the Museum of Roma Culture in Warsaw
16.00 – 17.00 panel discussion on the situation of the Roma community in Wrocław and Lower Silesia
and the state of Roma culture in the area, to be attended by:
– Maria Łój, Roma activist, retired teacher supporting the education of Roma children
– Roksana Stojowska, Roma education assistant and activist
– Joanna Panciuchin PhD Roma Studies at the Institute of Cultural Studies, University of Wroclaw

– Dariusz Tokarz, Voivodship Inspector at the Department of Civil Affairs and Foreigners at the Lower Silesian Voivodship Office in Wrocław
17.00 – 18.00 musical “feast”: concert of musicians Wiktor and Mirosław Dymitrak
18.00 – 19.00 jam session – joint playing of Mirosław and Wiktor Dymitrak – jazz and gitanswing.
During the festival we will be presenting a slide show of Andrzej Grzymała-Kazłowski’s graphics from his collection from the Museum of Roma Culture in Warsaw.
