Programme
11.00 – 19.00 – an all-day ethnographic exhibition presenting the collections of the Museum of Roma Culture in Warsaw, combined with a cyclical curator’s guided tour;
11.00 – 14.00 – integrative large-format painting workshops led by guest artists Róża and Noemi Łakatosz. The workshop will have a multi-generational character. The large format painting will be devoted to the contemporary Roma identity, created by all willing guests according to the artists’ original concept. No special skills will be needed for this intuitive activity, which anyone can take part in and join in at any time;
13.00 – 14.00 – a presentation and lecture on the Museum of Roma Culture in Warsaw;
14.00 – 16.00 – Miro Iło (my heart) – art workshops for children: reading out loud Roma fairy tales by their authors Rajmund Siwak and Róża Łakatosz, combined with making illustrations to these stories and creating Roma graphic signs. The workshop will be led by Noemi Łakatosz;
16.00 – 17.00 – "Bareforytka Roma – the Warsaw Roma community – past, present, future challenges" – panel discussion on the current situation of Roma culture in Warsaw: moderated by Agnieszka Caban from the “Home on the Borderland” Foundation; participants: Ewa Pawłowska from the Warsaw Roma community, Andrzej Grzymała- Kazłowski from the Museum of Roma Culture in Poland and Roksana Mroczek Wajs and Patrycja Jenny Mroczek Wajs.
17.00 – 18.00 musical feast: concert by Jędrek Pawłowski’s band.
